The BLS RegioExpress takes you comfortably and without changing trains from Bern or Brig to Goppenstein. From there, the PostBus takes you to the valley station in Wiler (Lötschen) in 10 minutes and on to the Hockenhorngrat with the mountain railway.

Set off on the high alpine snowshoe trail to the Lötschenpass hut.
From the mountain station of the Hockenhorn ridge, the high-alpine snowshoe tour leads under the imposing Hockenhorn down into an impressive landscape towards the Lötschen Pass. The Lötschenpass hut is situated at just under 2,700 metres above sea level and offers wonderful views of the mountains. The ascent back to the Hockenhorn ridge at 3,100 metres above sea level follows immediately. Important notes: The route leads through high alpine terrain and is only open in good weather. Start the hike before 10.00 a.m. from Wiler (10.30 a.m. from Hockenhorngrat) and return to the Hockenhorngrat from the Lötschbenpass hut by 1.30 p.m. at the latest. Would you like to enjoy the unspoilt nature a little longer? Then simply spend the night at the Lötschenpasshütte. The hiking ticket is valid for two days. Europe's highest winter hiking trail
The well-groomed trail leads from the mountain station of the glacier railway to a unique vantage point with views of 40 four-thousand-metre peaks. Thanks to the cable car ride, you can easily reach 3100 metres above sea level. The easy winter hiking trail begins behind the mountain station of the glacier cable car and runs parallel to the ski slope downhill to the viewpoint with the new viewing platform. Follow the same route back to the mountain station. Here you take the cable car and then the 3-seater chairlift to Stafel. Now you can walk down to Lauchernalp or take the 6-seater chairlift back to the Lauchernalp mountain station. The RegioExpress takes you from Bern or Brig to Goppenstein without changing trains. From there, the postbus (direction Blatten (Lötschen), village) will take you to Wiler (Lötschen), valley station, in approx. 10 minutes. Continue with the cable car to Lauchernalp. Continue with the 6-seater chairlift to Stafel, then take the 3-seater chairlift and then the gondola lift to the Hockenhorngrat.
