The impressive Gantrisch chain rears its head between the Gurnigel region and Simmental. It also includes the striking rocky peak of the Stockhorn. The Alpine path classic Gurnigel-Stockhorn runs along this chain. The views of the Bernese Alps, Lake Thun and the Simmental are unique and breath-taking. The reward is the magnificent panoramic view from the 2190 m high Stockhorn.
Travel in comfort by train to Mülenen. From there, it is just 200 m on foot to the valley station of the Niesenbahn. Then you can either travel on the historic cable car up to the middle station or to the summit or start your hike directly from there.
